About this blog

tilted halos” is a phrase from a book by Brennan Manning called The Ragamuffin Gospel. To put it simply, it means - knowing we have been saved by God’s grace, not our own “holiness” and that none of us are perfect (our halos tilted), we should extend the same grace to ourselves and others.

This blog is first and foremost, a collection of thoughts. It offers snapshots of the author’s mind, emotional and spiritual state as she journeys through the different stages of her life. She believes that each life is unique and the way each interpret their experiences reveals their unique beliefs, personality and character. It was created out of a desire to share a part of herself which she might not otherwise have, for lack of opportunity or courage. She believes the desire to be known resides in every soul.  It is also a way by which she reminds herself of where she had been and where she is heading so as not to loose sight of the larger picture. As she shares her thoughts, fears and dreams, she strives to be as transparent and sincere as possible while at the same time protecting herself and the people close to her. To achieve that end, she has chosen to go by the pseudonym “rk“. For the same reason, you might come across certain posts which are password protected. It usually means they are too personal or private to share with just anyone and everyone. A major theme amongst her writing is spirituality. She believes that all of life is spiritual; every experience has an underlying spiritual significance. She started her first blog, The Ragamuffin Kid, in 2004 and have kept up with it for 3 years before moving to tilted halos at WordPress. She had carefully transferred and categorized (see Site Index) all her previous posts from her former blog. Thank you for sharing this journey with her.
